Malankara Plantations Ltd, formerly Malankara Rubber and Produce Company Limited, is the first Indian-owned rubber plantation company under corporate management. The Company owns rubber plantations with a factory in Thodupuzha, and tea estates with a factory in Elappara. Malankara Spaces Ltd (Formerly known as Malankara Wood Limited) and Malankara Enterprises Ltd are its wholly owned subsidiaries.
The Company is known for its professionally managed rubber and tea plantations, with strong focus on cost efficiency, product quality, fair pricing, and statutory compliance. It has received several recognitions, including Pollution Control Board awards for its Effluent Treatment Plant, a State Government Safety Award, and Golden Leaf India Awards at the India International Tea Conference, Kochi.
Malankara Plantations was founded by Mr. P. John, becoming the first Indian-owned public limited rubber plantation company.
